Eva Rodriguez - Men's Clothing Vs. Women's Clothing

When a guy goes clothing shopping he has a choice of shirts (long sleeve and short sleeve and tee shirts) (single color, or, lumberjack plaid. Tee shirts will sometimes have pictures of trucks, or some other macho logo) and then there’s pants (pants and shorts) (single color, sometimes 7 pocket - tho you are treading into gay territories)(blue or another color of jeans, then their are khakis)

When a girl goes clothing shopping she has pretty much the same choices as guys but there are also dresses, skirts, and gowns. In addition, there’s stripes, frills, Tiger spots, sequins, metallic paint clothes, silks, paisley, zippers, snaps, pockets, florescents, faux fir, feathers

Plus there’s accessories.

And yet, when i go out … say to a mall, i do not see people wearing these wonderful garmets.

And I have a theory.. I think guys will bring girls out to fancy clothing stores and while the girls are picking out her next pair of blue jeans and possibility her next white blouse, the guy will say … oooh you’ll look great on those metallic bronze jeans, and that sequenced blouse is to die for.

And women end up purchasing these cool outfits because Macy’s wouldn’t stock these unless people bought them.

I think then the women bring the clothes home and jam them into their way to overpacked closet never to be worn or seen again. I think this because when I go through the mall I don’t see anyone wearing that cool blue leather jacket with the lacey sleeves. I see the same blue jeans and white blouses that i saw before last week’s blowout sale.

I believe the guys take the women to the dress shops or fancy clothing stores, because I see those bright yellow sequenced gowns slowly disappearing each time I enter Macy’s. Someone is buying them and it’s not that lady wearing jeans and the sweatshirt staring at them right now.

But this raises the question.. why can’t guys buy cool men’s clothes like that? Why can’t guys buy sequenced leather jackets? Why no men’s jumpsuits?

I think I have an answer. The reason why we cannot buy zebra stiped jumpsuits made of parachute material is because we would actually wear them.

Imagine the following conversation.

Ring ring, Zeus answers the phone.
“Zeus, it’s me Thor, I’m getting ready to work on my boat. Would you like to come over this afternoon to help me fix an oil leak? “
“Sure! Um… What will you be wearing?
“I’ll be wearing my silver slacks and my pinwheel long sleeves with the sequins running down the arms. What about you”
“I’ve got my paisley leisure suit. I’ll wear that. “
“Cool, we wont match, I’ll see you soon”

This could happen, they’d fix that motor and at the end of the day you know what they’d do? They’d throw away those greasy cloths! Why? To make space in the closet for that future outfit. Possibly a pair of shorts that says pout across the butt, and maybe a pull over tee shirt with the faux fur collar with the random feathers!
