Bird not flying south

Winter was coming and all the birds were flying south for the winter. One little bird, however, decided to stick around for a while. It started getting really cold, so finally he took off to fly south alone. The weather turned on him and his little wings froze up and he fell out of the air. He thought he would die in the impact, but he did not, because he landed in a huge fresh pile of cow manure. The manure was warm and he thawed out and was warm again - but it was such a large pile, and he was so little, he couldn't get out. So, he yelled for help. Along came a large cat, who pulled him out of the manure - and ate him.
Moral #1 - Not everyone who pulls you out of the sh__ you got yourself into is your friend.
Moral #2 - If you are up to your neck in sh__ but warm and happy, keep your mouth shut.
