Sacramento:
In a stunning announcement made from Sacramento, the California State Assembly has voted to seceed from the Union of the United States of America.
The State Senate will be voting on a bill of secession tomorrow morning, and, if passed could mean the end of all Federal control in the State of California.
In other secession news the California Green Party has agreed to take control of the state if and when a formal secession vote is made in the state legislature.
Martin Boreson, President of the California Green Party, states: "Listen, California is leaving the union, and it doesn't look like there is anything that's going to stop that from happening. So, why not leave the state in good hands? We know what we're doing!"
Although it's not been confirmed, sources in the Governor's mansion reveal that current Governor Pete Wilson will attempt to continue his hold on the State of California, and will ask for the title of "Holy Californian Emperor" once the bill of secession has passed the both the Assembly and the Senate.
Macky Albraith, press secretary for Governor Wilson, says that such reports are preposterous, stating: "he's already called that because of the change in the State Charter under Governor Reagan".
Former Governor Ronald Reagan was unavailable for comment.
